Matthew works in theatre, film and television. As a theatre director and writer he received an Olivier award for Best New Musical for “Top Hat” (Aldwych Theatre), as well as the Evening Standard award for “Best Night Out”, and as an actor he was nominated for the Olivier award for Best Supporting Actor for “Ragtime” (Piccadilly Theatre). He has directed six productions at the prestigious Menier Chocolate Factory (two of which transferred to the West End), and has directed numerous other shows in the UK, Japan, Germany, Austria, Canada, and Singapore. He lives in North London with his wife, Lindsey, and his two daughters, Lydia and Xanthe.
